ABOUT SARAH MOONEY
Stories that transform, ceremonies that reconnect, wisdom that remembers.
For twenty-five years Sarah has been walking a ceremonial path – unwinding old tales so their original wisdom can flow through again, creating spaces where stories become medicine.
Sarah trained with Clarissa Pinkola Estés (author of Women Who Run With The Wolves) and actors from the legendary Peter Brook Company, learning that the deepest stories aren’t just told – they are lived, embodied, remembered. For the last fifteen years, she's supported initiation rites and vision quests, working with and learning from shamans in Mexico and Ecuador, discovering how the old ways of storytelling can guide transformation.
"My passion is blowing the dust from old stories, unwinding them so that the original wisdom can flow through"
Her work has taken her from the iron decks of Brunel’s SS Great Britain (where she spent a decade as Storyteller in Residence) to crossing the Atlantic with thirteen women as part of eXXpedition, weaving environmental science with adventure and love of the earth. She's told stories in ancient woodlands with Whispering Wood Folk, in the magical world of the Roald Dahl Foundation, and in hundreds of schools, theatres, museums and sacred spaces.
