As the veil between the worlds grows thin, we gather together to honour Samhain โ a sacred time of remembrance, reflection and connection with those who have walked before us. ๐๐Join us for a special Samhain evening as we come together to honour our ancestors, remember loved ones who have passed, reflect on the turning of the Wheel of the Year, and welcome the darker half of the year.
โจ WHAT TO EXPECT
Weโll begin our evening with a shared Samhain ritual, creating a sacred space to remember those who are no longer with us, honour our ancestry and reflect on the memories, wisdom and love that continue to live within us.
Together, weโll create a communal ancestorsโ altar, a beautiful shared space filled with memories, meaningful objects and offerings to honour those who came before us. There will be time for quiet reflection, remembrance and setting intentions as we step into the darker months.
After our ritual, around 9:30pm, weโll move into our Samhain celebration โ sharing food, enjoying one anotherโs company and celebrating the season together. ๐ค
๐ฏ๏ธ WHAT TO BRING FOR THE COMMUNAL ALTAR
Please bring one small item to contribute to our shared altar, if you feel comfortable doing so. This could be:
๐ฟ A photograph of a loved one or ancestor
๐ฟ A handwritten name or small card remembering someone special
๐ฟ A meaningful keepsake or family heirloom
๐ฟ A dried flower, fallen leaf or other natural offering
๐ฟ A written memory, message or words of remembrance
A printed photograph is absolutely fine, and youโre welcome to bring something simple. There is no expectation to share your story or explain the meaning behind your item. Everyoneโs remembrance is personal, and all are welcome.
Your item will be returned to you after the gathering, unless it is a natural offering intended to remain on the altar.
๐ FOOD & FESTIVITIES
After the ritual, weโll gather for our Samhain party from around 9:30pm.
Please bring a dish or something tasty to share with the group, so we can enjoy a communal feast together. Sweet or savoury, homemade or shop-bought โ itโs the sharing that matters!
๐ค Fancy dress is welcome but absolutely not necessary. Come as you are, or embrace your witchy, magical or autumnal side if you fancy it!
