What This Gathering Is: As the Wheel of the Year turns from light to dark, we invite you to join us outdoors around the circle for a traditional Samhain circle. Together, we will honor the turning of the season, welcome the presence of our ancestors and unseen guides, share bread and ale, and cast off old burdens as we step into the quiet half of the year. This is a safe, inclusive space. The circle leader will be invoking traditional Norse seasonal guardians (Odin and Hel) to hold the space, but all paths, beliefs, and personal ancestors are welcomed and honored here. What to Bring: To help you feel comfortable and active in the ritual, please bring: An Ancestor Photo or Memento: Something small to place on our communal altar while we share stories. As well as a candle to light for remembrance if you wish. Warm Layers & Blankets: We will be entirely outdoors after dark, so dress warmer than you think you need to. A Camp Chair or Cushion/Blanket : For comfortable seating during the storytelling circle. An Open Mind and Heart: Ready to share, listen, and let go.
Circle Etiquette & Flow The Threshold: When you arrive, we will enter the sacred space in a line and cleanse with sage smoke to leave everyday stress behind.
The Silence: To keep the deep, magical energy of the night intact, our final exit from the circle will be walked in mindful, quiet silence.
Participation: You are welcome to speak as much or as little as you feel comfortable during our memory and release segments.
