The purpose of this Gala is to support and advance the mission of the Filipino American Samahan of Maine by raising funds for programs that strengthen our community, promote health and wellness, and preserve our Filipino heritage.
Proceeds will support:
• Scholarship Program – Providing educational assistance to deserving students.
• Cultural and Traditional Dance Program – Enhancing and expanding our efforts to preserve and promote Filipino culture and traditions.
• Samahan Cares – Establishing an emergency fund to assist needy families here in Maine, as well as families affected by calamities in the Philippines.
• Lingap Kalinga – Continuing our commitment to visiting and bringing care, companionship, and joy to elderly residents in nursing homes.
• Sports and Wellness Program – Organizing basketball sports clinics for different age groups and offering Zumba dance programs to promote physical fitness, healthy lifestyles, and community engagement.
