🇵🇱 Stefan Alt (działający jako SALT) to artysta, fotografik oraz założyciel wpływowej wytwórni muzyki industrialnej ant-zen. W swojej twórczości płynnie łączy dźwięk, obraz i obiekt. Rozpoczynał od fotografii analogowej i pracy w ciemni, wypracowując surowy, czarno-biały styl oparty na typograficznej precyzji oraz izolowaniu drobnych detali z otaczającego chaosu. W swoich portretach szuka bliskości i prawdy, kierując się zasadą: „Obraz zaczyna się tam, gdzie kończy się rozpoznanie - wśród tych, których znam, podziwiam i kocham”.
Wystawa „SALT.WIF” to fotograficzny zapis kilku lat Wrocław Industrial Festival. Stefan Alt ukazuje na zdjęciach nie tylko same występujące gwiazdy, ale przede wszystkim unikalną, mroczną atmosferę wydarzenia, poprzez ujęcia gestów, faktur i kadrów pełnych wizualnej oraz dźwiękowej intensywności.
🇩🇪 Stefan Alt (agierend als SALT) ist ein Künstler, Fotograf und Gründer des einflussreichen Industrial-Musiklabels ant-zen. In seiner Arbeit verbindet er Sound, Bild und Objekt zu einer künstlerischen Einheit. Seine Wurzeln liegen in der analogen schwarz-Weiß Fotografie und der Dunkelkammerarbeit. Sein Stil ist geprägt von typografischer Präzision und dem Isolieren von Details aus dem unendlichen Chaos. In seinen Porträts sucht er stets nach Nähe und folgt dem Credo: „Das Bild beginnt dort, wo das Wiedererkennen endet - unter jenen, die ich kenne, bewundere und liebe.“
Die Ausstellung „SALT.WIF“ dokumentiert Stefan Alts jahrelange fotografische Begleitung des Wrocław Industrial Festivals. Die Arbeiten zeigen nicht nur Live-Performances, sondern fangen auch die düstere Atmosphäre, Gesten, Texturen und die monumentale visuelle Intensität ein, die das Festival prägen.

His practice merges sound, visual art, and material objects into a single presence. Rooted in analog darkroom photography, his style focuses on typographic precision and isolating details from ambient chaos. In his portraits, he insists on proximity, guided by the principle: "The image begins where recognition ends - among those I know, admire, and love."
The "SALT.WIF" exhibition presents a photographic chronicle of several editions of the Wrocław Industrial Festival. Stefan Alt captures more than just stage performances, highlighting the festival's dark aesthetic, textures, gestures, and enduring visual intensity.
