Originating in Spain in the late 18th century before finding its true heartbeat in Cuba and Mexico, Bolero is more than just a musical genre, it is a poetic tradition of storytelling. While it began as a ballroom dance, it has since evolved into the sophisticated, slow-tempo ballad we recognize today, defined by its signature guitars, percussion, and evocative vocals. It is the music of sentimiento, an art form designed to explore the nuances of love, longing, and the bittersweet beauty of heartbreak.This special evening features a performance by Los Caramelos, a "trio romántico" renowned for capturing the vintage soul of the 1950s golden age. By blending polished three part vocal harmonies with the intricate, bright melodies of the requinto guitar.
