Ida is presented in collaboration with the Sainsbury Centre's current exhibition Living by the Rule: Contemporary meets Medieval - an exhibition exploring the idea of routine and regulation. Living by the Rule: Contemporary meets Medieval reflects on the ‘rules’ that we live by today, through a dialogue between medieval experiments in a different way to live, and modern reflections upon how life is organised.The screening will be followed by a panel discussion between exhibition co-curator Dr Edward Krčma, Associate Professor of Art History at the University of East Anglia (UEA) and Dr Sarah Godfrey, Associate Professor Film and Television Studies at the UEA. The panel will be compared by Kate Wolstenholme from the Sainsbury Centre.
Living by the Rule: Contemporary meets Medieval is on display as part of the Sainsbury Centre's current season, which asks: What is the Meaning of Life?. Exhibitions delving into the fundamental questions of human existence, from rulemaking, to time and play.
