safeTALK Training
- Date: Wednesday October 14th, 2026
- Time: 9 AM - 1 PM (EST)
- Location: Indwell - Dr. John M. Perkins Centre (1429 Main St E, Hamilton, ON L8K 1C2)
In honour of World Suicide Prevention Day, CMHA Hamilton is hosting a safeTALK Training, sponsored by the Suicide Prevention Community Council of Hamilton (SPCCH). Thanks to their support, the price will $25 per person (reduced from $50 per person). This opportunity was brought forth under the Roots of Hope suicide prevention project, a collaboration between CMHA Hamilton and SPCCH.
"At a LivingWorks safeTALK workshop, you'll learn how to prevent suicide by recognizing signs, engaging someone, and connecting them to an intervention resource for further support. A skilled, supportive trainer will guide you through the course, and a community resource will be on hand to support your safety and comfort." (Living Works, 2023)
* Please note that this training is intended for community members. We kindly request that organizations limit registration to one staff member. For closed-group trainings, please contact Mikaela Ivanco at: [email protected]
