The brothers of Sigma Alpha Epsilon return to Nashville for the first time since 2024.On Friday, November 13th, we will board four charter buses around 5-6AM to embark on a 10 hour expedition to Music City. The ride will be long, but is the bus ride not what we live for? Each bus will be stocked with your favorite SAE brothers, all of which you have probably seen at Cantina one time or another. While taking a long journey to the bathroom at the back of the bus that totally works, ensure that you get a look at the action going on in the rows. Turn to your left and see Ryan Scharlach sound asleep with his silk beauty eye mask on, or turn to the right and see Davey Schlembach pouring titos at the ripe hour of 7am. Hopefully we can arrive at our first rest stop without the Fall ‘25s bus driver calling me and telling me that they have a) broken something, b) gotten out of control, or c) Joe Guidry has died. At this rest stop, please take a moment to stretch your legs, take a breath of fresh air, and maybe even enjoy some buc-ees. You’re going to need it. Upon leaving the rest stop, please make sure every seat that was taken to begin the ride is filled when we get on the road again, because I would hate to budget time to pick someone up from the wrong bus…
Assuming all goes according to plan (as it normally does with us), we should arrive between 4-5 PM at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel on Broadway, a luxurious stay in the middle of the action. Once you get settled in, grab something to eat, as it is going to be a long night. Plus you probably had to listen to a 10 hour James Muir DJ set, so you deserve to treat yourself. Explore the bright lights and busy streets of Nashville while getting a feel for what Broadway is really about. This will be a perfect pregame for our bar tab at Friends In Low Places. This bar tab will eb a one of a kind experience, as you get to witness the brothers of SAE get fired up for the night in the privately rented second floor of the venue. This electric setting will be the ideal setting to take your first photos of the night, and listen to some of the great band music which Nasheville Honky Tonks have to offer (Fuck You Miles Duval). This bar will be reserved for us from 8-11 PM, with a bar tab for the entirety which won't soon run out. Ladies, don’t worry about the line to get into the tab, just look for Dalton Box because he probably knows the bouncer. After you’ve had your fix at the tab, continue your Broadway Bar Crawl and enjoy the southern hospitality and the good energy that radiates from Music City.
If you wake up on Saturday feeling like Ty Stoudt after a long night at Cantina, just know that the only way from there is up. Slide the boots on, grab some breakfast, and get up and get active BECAUSE THE FLORIDA GATORS PLAY FOOTBALL TODAY. FUCK UK. During the game we will return to Assembly Food Hall this time in a larger capacity, as we have an 18+ rooftop bar tab with ATO, Sigma Chi, Theta Chi, and Beta. Enjoy the views, enjoy the sun, and enjoy being surrounded by 1000+ UF students as the Gators go into Lexington and kick some Wildcat ass. Once this happens, find Mark Flakus, as he is very generous about buying shots after a Gator victory. When the tab is over, remember that you still have an entire night ahead of you. This may not be New York, but I have yet to see Nashville be known as a city that sleeps. If you do decide to hit the sheets early, make sure to close your blinds because no one wants to see Adam Harvey through their windows.
If you can make it to Sunday, give yourself a pat on the back! You’ve done better than most. The buses will leave Nashville that morning between 10-11 AM, and we’ll surprisingly teleport back to Gainesville in the blink of an eye. Once we arrive back in Gainesville, look back at one of the greatest weekends of your life and be glad you survived.
