Prince Jayaveera is not interested in the worldly life or in ascending his father`s throne, and is quite content to be pursuing philosophy. However, this changes when he meets sadarame, a beautiful, innocent middle-class girl, and succeeds in marrying her. And that is when all their troubles begin. Even as hardships challenge young sadarame, she overcomes every hurdle with her intelligence, and the play ends on a happy note.
