We're excited to have local artist Emily Hartford offering a new monthly opportunity to be crafty, sustainable, creative, and spiritual in community. In addition to mending, the group wants to send an invite to anyone working on a craft project to come and be part of this community! Mending is always available with Emily’s support, but we also encourage crafters and artists of all kinds to join us in creative space in Shalom Place.Join us in community as we practice noticing the places that need mending, both in our garments and lives. We will explore the creative ways in which we can declare to the world that broken simply means an opportunity to be made anew.
What to Bring: Yourself! If you have garments that need mending, bring them to work on as part of our creative practice.
Location: Shalom Place, Community of Christ Temple, 201 S. River Blvd, Independence, MO 64050.
Date & Time: 2nd Thursdays at 7:00 PM.
Cost: There is no cost for this event, but donations are always appreciated.
