The Ryedale Blues Club is proud to host a true heavyweight power trio: the Dirt Road Band. Formed by some of the most respected names in British music history, this band strips the blues back to its raw, gritty, and high-octane essentials.The band features an incredible lineup of talent:
Steve Walwyn (Guitar/Vocals): A bona fide guitar hero best known for his 32-year tenure as the lead guitarist for Dr. Feelgood.
Horace Panter (Bass): A founding member of legendary ska icons The Specials, bringing his world-class "groove DNA" to the blues circuit.
Ted Duggan (Drums): A seasoned powerhouse who has occupied the drum throne for Badfinger, The Beat, and The Selecter.
Following the release of their critically acclaimed debut album Righteous, the trio has been touring to sell-out crowds, earning a reputation for "playing with the energy of teenagers and the precision of masters." Expect a setlist that balances hard-hitting original material with classic rhythm and blues standards, all delivered with the swagger and sincerity you only get from decades on the road.
