Georgi Tashev aka Oshogy dives deep into the darker corners of Bulgarian electronic music, digging up a selection of twisted, warped and beautifully strange sounds from the local underground. A journey back into the archives — or a first encounter for younger ears — with music released through Bulgarian netlabels and crafted by local producers. Expect hidden gems, forgotten soundscapes and obscure cuts from the catalogues of Jisatsuken, Monokom, Mahorka, Dusted Wax Kingdom, and other known and unknown figures who have shaped the Bulgarian electronic underground. Old frequencies. Lost signals. Strange modulations. Come dig.
Sofia Experimental is realised with the financial support of Sofia Municipality (Cultural Events Calendar), Goethe-Institut Bulgaria, National Academy of Music “Prof. P. Vladigerov”. The festival’s partners include Bulgarian National Radio, Club Pave, Bobina Cultural Space, Club Atelieto, The Stage, MusicTechBG and Init Lab.
