We're back baby....Fungi Fest returns to West Sonoma County!
You know the Lower Russian River for towering redwoods, tasty wine, quirky small towns, and stunning vistas – but did you know it's one of the world’s most amazing places for....mushrooms?
On February 20th and 21st, we’re celebrating life’s most incredible kingdom with a two day festival filled with mushroomy markets, interactive workshops, foraging expeditions, educational talks, mycelial networking and much mushing more!
This event will be centered in Guerneville, CA - with satellite events happening all over west county. We are busy working on programming, and plan to share the final agenda about a month before the event! Follow us on instagram @RussianRiverFungiFest for updates about speakers, programming and more.
Winter is gloomy season in the city, but its PEAK SEASON FOR MUSHROOMS which means there is no better time to eat, forage and talk about fungi!
A few little mushroomy notes:
- THIS IS A RAIN OR SHINE EVENT! Mushrooms love rain and so do we. If the weather calls for is...make sure to bring a jacket and a smile!
- We've tried to keep the cost as low as possible for this event! Like last year, no one will be turned away from the festival because they couldn't afford a ticket! That said - seating in the Fungi Forum will be reserved for ticketed guests first (since this year, we anticipate having limited space.)
