About this Event
Run-Lift -Flow is a community morning built around three local spaces and three different ways to move your body. Run or walk a mile, train at VFit, then settle into a flow at Forum. No experience required for any of it.
Check in opens at 8:45am and we begin at 9:15am. Plan on about two and a half hours start to finish.
❓HOW THE MORNING WORKS:
- A one mile loop through the neighborhood. Run it, jog it, or walk it with a friend. There is no clock and no finish order.
- A strength session at VFit Gym, scaled to whoever shows up. Bodyweight options throughout.
- A yoga flow at Forum to close things out.
🛍️ WHAT YOU GET:
A gift from lululemon, a chance to enter raffles, and a morning of community through movement.
👤WHO IS THIS FOR:
Anyone who wants to move. The full morning is designed to be done together, and you are welcome to join for whatever part of it works for you. Every station has a scaled option and nobody is keeping score.
Participants aged 12-14 are welcome with a parent or guardian who stays with them for the morning.
❓WHY ARE WE DOING IT:
We are raising money for The Female Athlete Conference, a nonprofit that funds research on female athletes and sends clinicians and researchers to the conference where that work gets shared. Female athletes have been significantly underrepresented in sport, science, and research. This funds the work that will help change that.
Donations are optional and completely separate from registration. Donors are entered to win prizes from Lululemon, VFit, and Forum Modern Movement.
* If we hit our donation goal, VFit owner Matt and Forum owner Christina have agreed to run the mile with us.*
The donation link will be posted here soon. Registration is free.
👟 WHAT TO BRING:
Layers you can shed, shoes you can move in, and a yoga mat. Loaner mats are available first come, first served.
🏫 WHERE IS IT:
We meet outside VFit Gym at Hartland Plaza. Parking is available. Please carpool if you can, and arrive by 9:00am so we can start together.
🚨 ONE MORE THING:
Space is limited by studio capacity, so register early. If we fill up, we will open a second start time.
📝 A NOTE ON RESEARCH:
This event is connected to a University of Kentucky study on movement and active recovery. Participation is entirely optional, is not required to attend or to receive your gift, and is open to participants 18 and older. More details to come.
