Rumi passed away at sunset on Sunday, December 17th, 1273. He suggested not to mourn his death but to instead be joyful and loving. For centuries, December 17th has been celebrated as Rumi's Night of Union. On December 17th this year, on the anniversary of Rumi's passing, we will gather and share our favorite poems and inspiring thoughts. The evening will be moderated by Rasoul Shams, Director of Rumi Poetry Club, and translator of Rumi: The Art of Loving, The Words of Rumi, and Through Love Pain Is Healed.
