About this Event
Rugby in WW1: A Talk from John Frearson at Rugby Library
John Frearson from Rugby Local History Research Group will be building on the acclaimed Rugby Remembers project, which researched and documented the biographies of Rugby's First World War soldiers. This talk explores the town's wartime experience both at home and on the front line. Through photographs, stories and historical insights, discover how the people of Rugby contributed to the war effort, learn about local soldiers and their personal journeys, and gain an understanding of the major battles in which they fought.
Taking place just ahead of Remembrance Day, this fascinating talk provides an opportunity to remember and honour the people of Rugby who served during the First World War, while gaining a deeper understanding of their experiences and legacy.
