About this Event
Practical and theoretical training day for healthcare professionals currently using rTMS in their practice (students also welcome). Log your CPD points to maintain rTMS accreditation for those having already completed prescriber training rTMS in Depression.
In this training workshop, participants will refresh their knowledge of rTMS delivery following evidence-based protocols for treatment-resistant depression and OCD. Furthermore, participants will learn the theoretical background and coil placement for off-label application of an escalation protocol used over the orbital-frontal cortex (OFC). This includes access to the neurocare academy platform to complete the OFC online theoretical course prior to the practical event. PTSD and Pain protocols are also theoretically discussed and demonstrated.
All training is completed on devices approved by the Therapeutic Goods Administration.
Refresher and Learning components covered in the practical training day include:
- Finding the Motor Threshold
- Preparing the patient, marking and placing the coil over the DLPFC for depression and PTSD.
- Marking and placing the coil over SMA for OCD
- Marking and placing the coil over the OFC for depression and OCD
- Marking and placing the coil over M1 for Pain
Workshops are hosted by Dr Trevor Brown (Neuroscientist, Global Academy Manager, neurocare group) and colleagues.
