Join us at Royal College Day on Friday, 3 July 2026 for our annual celebration of achievement within the veterinary and veterinary nursing professions.
There is no charge to this RCVS event, please register your interest to attend Royal College Day. Once received, the RCVS Events team will be in touch to confirm your place.
Format of the day:
Annual General Meeting
Registration and refreshments will commence from 10:30am with the AGM starting at 11:00am and is open to all registered veterinary surgeons and veterinary nurses.
- Formal declaration of RCVS Council election results and appointments
- Presentation of Annual Report and Financial Statements 2025
- Council Meeting to approve the new 2026 Officer Team - President, Vice Presidents and Treasurer
This morning session will be followed by a buffet lunch in the Great Hall
Awards Ceremony
Our Awards Ceremony starts around 1:00pm, and is open to all

The keynote address will be delivered during the afternoon Honours and Awards session. Our keynote speaker for 2026 is:
Professor Sir David Spiegelhalter FRS OBE
His talk is entitled:
Communicating evidence and uncertainty in a trustworthy way.
Professor Sir David Spiegelhalter FRS OBE is Emeritus Professor of Statistics at the University of Cambridge. He is a regular media commentator on statistical issues, and was very busy over the Covid crisis. His bestselling book, The Art of Statistics, was published in 2019, and The Art of Uncertainty in 2024.
His career highlights include appearing on Desert Island Discs in 2022, and in 2011 coming 7th in an episode of BBC1’s Winter Wipeout.
He was elected Fellow of the Royal Society in 2005, awarded an OBE in 2006, and knighted in 2014 for services to medical statistics. He was President of the Royal Statistical Society for 2017-2018, and has been a Non-Executive Director of the UK Statistics Authority since 2020.
