AJ & The Woods are a Cleveland, Ohio–based roots rock band blending Appalachian folk, Americana, and blues with modern rock energy. Formed in 2015 after a chance meeting between vocalist Alison Tomin and guitarist Joshua Alan Collins, the project has grown into a five-piece, adding depth through bass, drums, and fiddle.
At the core of the band is a collaborative songwriting process grounded in real-life experiences. Tomin’s powerful, expressive vocals pair with Collins’ textured guitar work to create songs that feel both intimate and expansive. Their sound moves fluidly between stripped-back folk moments and driving rock arrangements, giving them a distinct edge in today’s roots music landscape.
With releases like their 2026 release "For Her" and their 2022 album “Stay Steady,” AJ & The Woods continue to establish themselves as a compelling voice in the modern folk and roots rock scenes.
