The Rorate Mass is celebrated in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary, who carried within her womb Jesus Christ, the Light of the World.
As we gather in darkness, illuminated only by candlelight, we are reminded that the world once waited in darkness for the coming of its Savior.
And just as Mary awaited the birth of her Son, we too prepare our hearts for His coming!
