Come join Northwestern University Theater students as they present a reading of "Rootwoman" by Angela Shannon Preston.About this Event
This unique theatrical work, termed a "choreopoem" by its playwright, weaves together over 40 poems to make a lyrical presentation deeply imbued with the spirit of Chicagoans. Powerfully directed by Northwestern University Professor and Associate Acting Area Head Detra Payne, this all Black women ensemble breathes new life into this evocative stage work.
