Roots Gym has the honor of inviting you to participate in Roots Sunday Fights, an international Scandinavian fight event for Muay Thai
Our goal is simple: to create the best possible platform for developing fighters, building experience, and strengthening the cooperation between clubs across Scandinavia.
Roots Sunday Fights
Weigh-in & Medical Check: 10:00 – 11:00
Doors Open for spectators : 11:30.

– Tickets can be bought in the door or online 100 DKK for adults and 50 DKK for kids + 50 dkk if buy in the door.

The Roots Sunday Fights concept
Roots Sunday Fights is designed to develop the next generation of fighters.
The event is created for fighters with little or moderate experience, giving them the opportunity to gain valuable ring experience in a professional and respectful environment.
Our ambition is not only to develop strong fighters, but also to create strong relationships between clubs throughout Scandinavia.
All clubs are welcome
Roots Sunday Fights is a non-commercial event. All clubs are responsible for their own travel expenses.
If your team needs accommodation in Copenhagen, we can help arrange a sleep-over at our gym or assist with affordable hotel options.
Please feel free to invite other clubs that may be interested in participating.
Muay Thai Rules
The event will be held under WKF regulations with full Muay Thai rules.
D-Class
• 3 × 2 minutes
• Elbows allowed
• No knees to the head
• Shin guards, gloves, elbow protection, and head protection required
C-Class
• 3 × 2 minutes
• Elbows and knees to the head allowed
• Shin guards, gloves, elbow protection, and head protection required
Juniors
• All fights 3x 2 min
• All junior fights except U19 will use body protection
• U17 body protection optional – Both fighters will do the same
• U17 and U19: elbows allowed
• U15: no elbows, light contact only, no KO to the head
• U12: no contact to the head
• Diploma fights: both fighters are winners
Sparring Fights
• We Also do sparring fights (all ages) Please just let usknow
when you sign them up.
Fightbook requirements
Due to Danish regulations, all Danish fighters must have an online Fightbook registered at:
www.MyFightbook.com
Register under WKF for Muay Thai.
The annual fee is 200 DKK, including medical check on fight day and access to WKF sanctioned events.
Fighters under 18 years must upload parental approval.
Matching
Fair matching depends on receiving accurate information about each fighter’s experience.
Please send all available fighters together with your phone number.
Applications are accepted for:
• Sparring
• Junior
• D-Class
• C-Class
• B-Class

Latest registration: 2 weeks before the event
However, we strongly recommend sending your fighters as early as possible, as early registration significantly increases the chance of getting matched.
Coaches
Each club will receive:
• 2 coaches for 2 fighters
• 3 coaches for 3 fighters
• 4 coaches for 4 or more fighters
Please also let us know if you can bring a referee for the event.
We sincerely hope to welcome clubs from all over Scandinavia to Roots Sunday Fights.
