Roots Sessions Pittsburgh and Dub-Stuy Records Brooklyn present "A Rub-A-Dub Journey Tour" on Friday, June 19th at Hop Farm Brewing Co. in Pittsburgh, PA. The night features a full sound system experience spanning Reggae, Dub, and Jungle music.Headliners for the evening:
Ras Demo aka Demolition Man - Jamaica and the UK
A renowned singer and MC with one of his early releases in 1995 being the massive jungle hit, "Fire". He has worked with numerous producers on riddims ranging from roots reggae to dancehall to jungle.
Jonnygo Figure - Brooklyn, NY
Member of the Dub-Stuy crew. Singer, MC, selector. He does it all and does it all very well.
Performs in the band Easy Star All-Stars and sang backing vocals for the band The Far East on their "New York is For Lovers" album.
In 2019 he released the Crucial Showcase Extended LP with big tunes like "Vinyl Lover" and "Revolutionary Youth". Followed up in 2022 by the release of his album entitled "Crucial Moods". His music is played and enjoyed all around the world.
Special guests include DJ Sizzla and Yamez. Both local heroes/legends who have been at it for decades.
