About this Event

Join the EMHIP (Ethinicity & Mental Health Improvement Project) Team for Roots of Resilience: Celebrating Heritage, Strengthening Mental Health, a community conference taking place on Wednesday 14 October 2026, 12 noon–5pm.

Taking place during October to mark World Mental Health Day and Black History Month, this event will explore how culture, identity, family, faith, lived experience and community connection can support mental wellbeing and resilience.

The afternoon will bring together community members, local organisations, partners and professionals for shared learning, reflection and meaningful conversations. Attendees can expect inspiring speakers, interactive workshops, lived experience contributions, networking opportunities, community stalls, creative activities, an EMHIP showcase, a Q&A session, refreshments and a free hot meal.

Whether you are part of the local community, work in health or wellbeing, support a community organisation, or simply want to learn more, we would love you to join us.

More details and the full programme will be announced soon.
