This Lebanese Independence Day, we invite our community and all Islanders to come together to honour the roots that shaped us, celebrate the community that strengthens us, and carry the spirit of Lebanon forward for generations to come.As part of the Canadian Lebanese Association of PEI's inaugural Lebanese Heritage Month, our Independence Day Celebration will bring together Lebanese Islanders, friends, neighbours and community leaders for an evening celebrating the history, culture and traditions of Lebanon.
Guests will experience an afternoon of Lebanese music, Dabke, poetry, storytelling, food and community, along with a short program recognizing the significance of Lebanese Independence Day and the contributions of the Lebanese community to Prince Edward Island.
Enjoy Lebanese refreshments while connecting with members of the community and learning more about Lebanon, its culture and its people.
Whether you are Lebanese, have a connection to Lebanon, or simply want to experience and learn more about Lebanese culture, everyone is welcome to celebrate with us.
This event is also a fundraiser in support of the Canadian Lebanese Association of Prince Edward Island. Proceeds will help support student scholarships, ongoing renovations and improvements to our community space, and expanded cultural, language and educational programming that helps preserve and share Lebanese heritage while creating opportunities for future generations
This celebration is about remembering where we came from while looking toward where our community is going.
From our proud Lebanese heritage, we draw the strength to preserve our legacy, share our culture, inspire future generations and keep the spirit of Lebanon alive on Prince Edward Island.
Come celebrate Lebanon with us.
