Born and raised in the wild solitude of Alaska, Rooster's musical journey started at just four years old on a secondhand plug-in organ. She cut her teeth battling for stage time in the rowdy, late-night dive bars of Juneau—a trial by fire that taught her how to command a room with absolute authority. After years of touring, she found a second home in the high deserts of New Mexico, where she ran the Giddy Up Café in Truth or Consequences and won the New Mexico Music Award for Singer-Songwriter of the Year.
Most recently, a leap of faith landed her in Nashville. There, she recorded her acclaimed record, Nashville (The Cinderella Sessions), alongside legendary studio musicians in one of the city’s most historic rooms. Now, she is bringing those rich, desert-vibe-infused Americana stories and her powerhouse vocals straight to the intimate, historic stage of The Spirit Room.
