ROMANIA FROM WITHIN – INTERNATIONAL PREMIERE IN LONDON
What happens to our identity when we leave our homeland?
We change. We adapt. We build new lives in different cities, surrounded by new languages, traditions, cultures, and ways of seeing the world.
But how much of Romania do we actually take with us?
On 25 September 2026, at the University of East London – Royal Docks, E16 2RD, we invite you to the international premiere of “Romania from Within” — a documentary exploring the stories of people who left Romania to build new lives and pursue new paths, while continuing to carry Romania within their identity, memories, and hearts.
It is a story about longing, belonging, identity, and transformation.
A story about the Romanian diaspora — told from within.
And, perhaps most importantly, a story about a simple truth:
You can leave Romania without ever truly leaving it behind.
During the event, you will have the opportunity to meet the documentary’s protagonists and members of the creative team.
Following the screening, we invite you to join us for an open conversation about Romania, the Romanian diaspora, and cultural identity, followed by networking, Romanian food specialties, music, and dance.
