About this Event
We'll start our hike with a little cardio workout—a steep trek to the top of Rocky Ridge. From our lofty perch, we'll enjoy panoramic views of the Bay Area.
As we hike along the ridgetop, we'll see 15 million-year-old marine fossils from the bottom of an ancient sea, uplifted to these heights by geologic folding and faulting.
Our route includes a visit to "The Sisters", a mini forest of bay and oak trees atop the ridge.
TOTAL DISTANCE
This is a moderately strenuous hike of about 5 miles round trip with a 1,200-foot elevation gain.
