It’s astounding. Time is fleeting. And for the FIRST TIME EVER, Rocky Horror is taking over Cleveland Tennessee!! Seed Theatre’s annual production of The Rocky Horror Picture Show is anything but your average shadowcast. This is a full-scale, Broadway-style theatrical production performed live alongside the cult-classic film—combining the beloved tradition of Rocky Horror shadowcasting with the costumes, choreography, lighting, staging, and production value of a fully realized stage musical.
As the film plays on the big screen, a complete cast brings every moment to life directly in front of it: lip-syncing, dancing, strutting, seducing, and recreating the glorious chaos of Frank-N-Furter’s castle in real time. The result is part movie screening, part live theatre, part audience ritual—and 100% Rocky Horror.
Seed Theatre approaches Rocky Horror with the same professionalism and artistic ambition as any mainstage production. Our cast and production team spend months building a show that honors the film audiences have loved for generations while creating something unmistakably Seed: bold, queer, theatrical, unapologetic, and spectacularly over-the-top.
And because this is Rocky Horror, the audience is part of the experience. Whether you’ve been shouting callbacks for decades or this is your very first trip to the Frankenstein Place, you’re invited to dress up, participate, laugh loudly, and surrender yourself to absolute pleasure.
NO Props!
Based on the agreement we have with the college, its important that we don't make a huge mess! For this purpose, we are asking audience members to please refrain from bringing (and throwing) props. We are asking you join in the time-honored Rocky Horror traditions while helping us keep the college auditorium —and our performers—safe.
This isn’t just a screening. It isn’t just a shadowcast. It’s Seed Theatre’s Rocky Horror—and we go all the way.
Come up to the lab. See what’s on the slab. And experience Seed Theatre's annual descent into sweet transvestite mayhem at Cleveland State Community College for the first time ever!!
