RockSteady, Cape Town’s premiere cover band, brings you a night steeped in nostalgia, where you will sing and dance, as you are transported back to a time when people marched for peace and while chanting "make love, not war".Woodstock and Beyond blends the folk, storytelling, psychedelic rock of the 60s, as it grew into the classic rock of the 70s. A time when long hair, flowers, bell bottoms and headbands ruled, till the classic rockers squeezed into their tight pants, sequins and denim on denim.
With successful shows such as their Back to the 80s, Women of Rock, You Oughta Know It’s the 90s and When Rock Ruled, this show brings all the same entertainment, drama and full-on rock energy audiences have come to expect from RockSteady.
Featuring songs from Janis Joplin, Grace Slick, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Golden Earring, The Rolling Stones, Tina Turner, Credence Clearwater Revival, Rare Earth, Free, Bad Company, Cream, Carole King, Beatles, Eagles and more!
Dust off those bell bottoms and get creative! Come dressed to impress in your best Woodstock-inspired outfit – there will be prizes up for grabs for the best dressed!
“RockSteady has got to be Cape Town’s best show band. All the songs they performed were 100% accurate from vocals to parts to energy and style. They are the real deal!” – Peter
