6:30 MAD PAINTER (RELEASE PARTY: third album, Island Poetry, drops 10/9!)

All the way from Boston to entertain you, Mad Painter delivers brash, theatrical rock rooted in the glory days of the 1970s. Powered by Hammond organ, towering vocals and irresistible riffs, the band channels Deep Purple, Uriah Heep and early Queen without sounding like a tribute act. Their brand new album Island Poetry is a bold, colorful journey through hard rock, glam, psychedelia and space disco.

NYC's best kept secret. Loves you to death, eats you alive. Always all out of bubblegum. Underground under duress. Agit-Pop for the New Dystopia. Smartass punk. Puts the Pow in your Power Pop. Our friends make comparisons to Afghan Whigs, Guided by Voices, and Pink Floyd. Go get the record and tell us if we need new friends.
