We’d love to share an exciting course which has been offered by Harlaw this year, Level 6 in Hospitality, equivalent to a Higher, which directly feeds into a career path. Only 8 schools in Scotland offer this and Mrs Howey has been championing the course, organising all events and reaching out to industry partners to arrange placements for the students. It has been so popular this year that Harlaw has been accepted to run an L5 course next year as well as an L6, with students so keen to join, that the uptake is looking to be beyond expectation.
This is where we, as parents, can help! In order to gain accreditation, the students must sell at least 25 tickets for each event so let’s support the last event of the academic year, a Rock and Roll Evening, by doing just that!
You can buy tickets by emailing Mrs Howey on
[email protected] or pupils can purchase as shown on the attached poster.
The Lord Provest attended the Burns Night Event giving a glowing review and the students have also hosted events at P&J Live, gaining so much vocational experience.
Exciting times and opportunities ahead for Harlaw pupils 🙌🏻
