Kenilworth School of Embroidery
Join us for a day of hand embroidery and create Robin in Flight, an original design by Kenilworth School of Embroidery.
Inspired by the colours and textures of the English winter landscape, this little robin is created through a delicate collection of embroidered marks, botanical details and richly coloured stitches. Rather than filling the bird conventionally, we will use colour, texture and negative space to suggest feathers, foliage and movement.
During the workshop, I will guide you through the stitches and techniques needed to create your own Robin in Flight, working with a carefully selected palette of warm russets, reds, ochres and soft winter neutrals on natural linen.
The workshop is suitable for those with some embroidery experience as well as adventurous beginners. You'll work at your own pace in the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of Kenilworth School of Embroidery.
