Robert J Hunter has spent the last decade building his reputation the hard way—relentless UK and European touring, a gruff and powerful voice, and the wild thud of an overdriven, foot-stomping guitar. Armed with a brand-new album, Here to Stay, the Alderney-born singer-songwriter and his band arrive as a road-worn, well-oiled machine that is super-tight, fiercely dynamic, and impossible to ignore. His evocative songwriting echoes the spirit of Bruce Springsteen, Free, Rory Gallagher, and Tom Petty, but the voice, the attack, and the storytelling are pure Hunter.
Opening the night as our very special guest is Eddy Smith, widely recognized as one of the major male vocalists on the Country Soul and Blues circuit. Captivating audiences with his unique, husky voice and tasteful piano accompaniment, his infectious melodies have drawn comparisons to Joe Cocker, JJ Grey, and Marcus King.
