Robert Harvey je flétnista z hrabství města Mountrath v hrabství Laois. Sedmkrát zvítězil v celoirské soutěži ve hře na dřevěnou příčnou flétnu. K jeho sólovým albům patří Feochán, Beara a Lads of Laois (s bratrem Jamesem). Pravidelně vystupuje po celém světě se skupinami Kateřina García Band, Traditional Arts Collective, National Folk Orchestra a dalšími, spolupracoval také s Donalem Lunnym, s irským RTE Concert Orchestra a Pražskou filharmonií. Vyučuje irskou tradiční hudbu na Dublin City University a Trinity College Dublin a rovněž působí v oboru jako badatel – v poslední době slaví ve světě úspěchy s knihou Feadaíl: The Whistling Tradition in Ireland (Tradice pískání v Irsku). Během koncertu ho doprovodí Martin Jankovec, kytarista v ladění DADGAD, působící v kapelách Poitín a Conamara Chaos, se kterou natočil album Anord. S Robertem Harveym již několikrát vystupoval v rámci pražské letní školy Bernard's Summer School, kde oba vyučovali hře na své nástroje. Koncert je součástí projektu EFACIS „Performing Ireland“ u příležitosti irského předsednictví EU.Robert Harvey is a flute player from Mountrath, County Laois. He is a seven-time All-Ireland champion on the wooden transverse flute. His solo albums include *Feochán*, *Beara*, and *Lads of Laois* (with his brother James). He performs regularly around the world with groups such as the Kateřina García Band, the Traditional Arts Collective, and the National Folk Orchestra, and has collaborated with Donal Lunny, the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, and the Prague Philharmonic. He teaches Irish traditional music at Dublin City University and Trinity College Dublin and is also active as a researcher; he has recently achieved international success with his book *Feadaíl: The Whistling Tradition in Ireland*. At the concert, he will be accompanied by Martin Jankovec, a DADGAD-tuning guitarist who plays with the bands Poitín and Conamara Chaos (with whom he recorded the album *Anord*). He has previously performed with Robert Harvey at the Bernard's Summer School in Prague, where both taught their respective instruments. The concert is part of the EFACIS "Performing Ireland" project, marking Ireland's presidency of the EU.
