Cattle-working sessions are designed for riders of all levels, from introducing a horse to cattle to advancing an experienced cow horse. Learn rider position, timing, pressure points, and the horsemanship skills needed to track, sort, and cut cattle, all while emphasizing teamwork and low-stress livestock handling techniques that pay off on the ranch and in the show ring. The retreat also features obstacle training and confidence-building exercises to improve trust, communication, body control, and responsiveness for both horse and rider. Road to the Horse Championship Competitor Ryan Rose: Ryan Rose is a respected horsemanship specialist, professional horse trainer, and clinician known for his ability to help riders build stronger partnerships with their horses. With more than 20 years of experience, he has trained thousands of horses—including difficult horses and wild mustangs—and shares his knowledge with a global audience through clinics, workshops, and online education. Influenced by renowned horsemen such as Pat Parelli, Doug Jordan, and Craig Johnson.
Cost:
* The Guest Favorite - $1,950* / All-inclusive Retreat with RV Hookup for your LQ or camper trailer
* The Ultimate Experience - $2,200* / All-inclusive Reteat with bunkhouse accommodations
* Day Hauler - $550 per day / $1,500 for all three days. Haul in / haul out and enjoy all the instructions and activities from the retreat. Haul for one day or in/out for all three days of the retreat.
* Day Auditor – $350 a day. Available on Friday and/or Saturday Sunday is open to the public as participants tackle the RTTH Obstacle Course Challenge
* Please reach out for pricing to bring a non riding guest or an additional horse. Housing options are a shared bunkhouse but private single and multi room cabins are available on request. Limited number of lease horses available.
