You know that moment when the DJ plays the song you and your mate used to go out dancing to, you look at each other and suddenly you’re both on the dance floor? Imagine having that feeling at eight in the morning. That’s a coffee rave. And this time, we’ve got the brilliant DJ John Locke on the decks.
We’re taking over The Guild in Chester city centre, a stunning venue with all the Gothic grandeur of a church. We’ll meet for a coffee, wrap up warm and head out for an early walk through our beautiful Roman city. It’s a lovely chance to see Chester while the streets are still quiet, catch up with a friend or get chatting to someone new.
Then it’s back to The Guild, coats off and over to John for an hour of proper hands-in-the-air dancing. He’s in charge of the tunes. You’re free to sing the wrong words at full volume.
December has a habit of filling your diary with things you’re organising for everybody else. Somewhere between the school plays, work dos and wondering where you hid the presents, put one morning in there just for you. Come with a mate or come on your own and walk with us. You’ll head home with warm cheeks, a tune stuck in your head and a bit more energy for the festive madness. And it’s still only breakfast time.
