Rikas, a group of childhood friends, have been in forward motion with each other for 10 years. At their upcoming Europe spanning tour „Dog Days“ Rikas want to celebrate the spirit of their early days, playing selected venues that played an important role on their journey.
Dog Days are the hot days of the year and Rikas are named after one of the band members family dog - reason enough to embrace that mission. All started with their 2018 debut EP „Swabian Samba“. The following years Rikas have built a loyal following around their brisk, easygoing harmonies, anthemic choruses, and egalitarian style, where every member contributes equally to songwriting and shares the spotlight both in the studio and on stage.
Following their warm and inviting 2019 debut album, Showtime, and two interim EPs (2021’s Short Stories and 2022’s Goodbye Sunshine), Rikas became a live phenomenon in Germany and word started spreading across the borders. Their second album „Soundtrack For A Movie That Has Not Been Written Yet“ led them to first sold out headline shows from London, Lisbon Amsterdam to Paris. In 2026 Rikas are ready to bring their shows to their ever growing fanbase all around the globe.

Rikas, een groep jeugdvrienden, is al tien jaar samen op weg. Tijdens hun aanstaande Europese tournee ‘Dog Days’ wil Rikas de geest van hun beginjaren vieren door op te treden in een selectie van zalen die een belangrijke rol hebben gespeeld in hun ontwikkeling. Dog Days zijn de hete dagen van het jaar en Rikas is vernoemd naar de hond van een van de bandleden – reden genoeg om die missie te omarmen.
Het begon allemaal met hun debuut-EP ‘Swabian Samba’ uit 2018. In de jaren daarna heeft Rikas een trouwe aanhang opgebouwd dankzij hun levendige, ongedwongen harmonieën, meezingbare refreinen en egalitaire stijl, waarbij elk lid in gelijke mate bijdraagt aan het schrijven van nummers en zowel in de studio als op het podium in de schijnwerpers staat. Na hun warme en uitnodigende debuutalbum uit 2019, ‘Showtime’, en twee tussentijdse EP’s (‘Short Stories’ uit 2021 en ‘Goodbye Sunshine’ uit 2022), groeide Rikas uit tot een livefenomeen in Duitsland en begon het nieuws zich over de grenzen heen te verspreiden. Hun tweede album ‘Soundtrack For A Movie That Has Not Been Written Yet’ leidde tot hun eerste uitverkochte headline-shows in onder meer Londen, Lissabon, Amsterdam en Parijs. In 2026 is Rikas klaar om hun shows te brengen naar hun steeds groeiende fanbase over de hele wereld.
