About this Event
Join Babies Born Healthy as we honor the spirit of Black Maternal Health Week. Learn from leading reproductive justice leaders, hear stories of the highs and lows of birth, and create connections with various organizations in Montgomery County. This symposium is open to ALL, but centers the care and experiences of Black women.
Start the morning by getting your body moving and have the opportunity to discuss the state of health in the County with County Health Officer, Dr. Kisha Davis with Walk With A Doc. Continue on with the highly popular RFTS Exhibitor Fair, where you can meet over 20 community organizations and County Programs to help ensure you and your new little one can get the best possible start. Enjoy a delicious lunch with a message from our keynote speaker, Kelli Dominique Hudson of Peridom Insights, and participate in panel discussions and talks to expand your knowledge on self advocacy, birthing rights, and finding joy in birth. Enter for raffles and surprises throughout the day! Babysitting assistance will be available for children ages 2-12. Register TODAY, you won't want to miss it!
