The stage is set for a night where heavy grooves, soulful blues, and pure raw talent collide under the spotlight. On October 9th, Paisley Stage will host Riff Fest Napier, an unforgettable evening of live heavy blues rock and psychedelia.
Headlining the night are Taupo's own Sonorous. Young, tenacious, and fiercely driven, this rising band travels into Napier hot off the heels of their explosive Blues Club debut. Sonorous are best known for powerful live performances, heartfelt songwriting and a distinctive blend of rock, soul, blues and psychedelic influences.
Adding to the magic, Hawke's Bay's most eclectic bluesman Hazy J steps into a rare spotlight. Stripping away his usual acoustic setup, Hazy J presents a special full band electric set. What makes this performance truly unmissable is a deep family connection, as he takes the stage alongside his nephew for a unique collaboration that may not happen again soon.
Rounding out the lineup, local powerhouse Blackbird Junkie takes command of the stage. This formidable trio of musical excellence knows exactly how to capture an audience, blending massive grooves and the tastiest riffs, guaranteed to get the crowd singing and moving to every beat.
Doors open at 7.30 pm at Paisley Stage with a $15 cover charge going directly to support the artists.
