Rick Berthod is a soulful and intense blues guitarist whose career has taken him across the United States, Canada, and Europe for more than 20 years. Known for his commanding stage presence and expressive guitar work, Rick has earned a reputation as a dynamic performer equally at home on major festival stages and in intimate clubs.
A collector of vintage tone and timeless blues tradition, Rick performs on vintage Fender and Gibson guitars, including a Gibson Lucille autographed by the legendary B.B. King. His musical journey has included sharing the stage with B.B. King, Gregg Allman, John Mayall, Les Dudek, and Savoy Brown on multiple occasions, as well as performing alongside an impressive list of blues and rock greats, including Robben Ford, Etta James, The Yardbirds, Janiva Magness, Chris Duarte, J.J. Cale, Debbie Davies, Delbert McClinton, Robby Krieger, Coco Montoya, Pat Travers, Peter Wolf, William Clarke, Rod Piazza, Guitar Shorty, Eric Sardinas, Tinsley Ellis, and Joe Houston.
Rick’s career also includes notable residencies at B.B. King’s Blues Club in Hollywood, California (1999–2003) and the House of Blues in Las Vegas, Nevada (2011–present).
In recognition of his contributions to the blues, Rick was inducted into the Las Vegas Blues Hall of Fame by Rita King, daughter of B.B. King.
