About this Event
Richard Harrion's latest poetry collection, My Mother Joins the Resistance (Wolsak and Wynn), "considers his mother's life with elegant, deeply felt poetry, from what she suffered as a child during WWII, up until its end, when terminally ill with cancer, she chose MAID." Richard's last colelction, On Not Losing My Father's Ashes in the Flood, was awarded the 2017 Governor General's Award for Poetry. He was recently recognised for his lifetime contribution to poetry with the Writers Guild of Alberta Golden Pen Award. There will be readings, a short interview and Q&A, and a book signing.
