On Wednesday 7th of October from 6pm (for a 6:30pm start), please join us over a glass of wine at the Potts Point Bookshop to hear Richard Christiansen talk about his new book Flamingo Estate Pleasure Principles: An Almanac from the Garden.
Pleasure Principles is a year round guide to your garden. Equal parts art book, field guide, and love letter, this handbook shares stories, recipes, and gardening knowledge for every month of the year.
Richard draws on his extensive experience in own home and garden, to guide us through the seasons, and invites us to fall back in love with nature. There are planting guides, lunar rituals, recipes, botanical history and much more.
Richard will be in conversation with Gemma Plunkett.
Gemma Plunkett is a writer, cook and content strategist based in Sydney. She wrote First Cook for Broadsheet, a nationally published column exploring new Australian cookbook releases. Her ongoing newsletter, Ding, rambles about recipes, dinner party antics, inner-city gardening and home rituals. With a background in food, design and ceramics, Gemma has a lifelong love of cooking, growing and making things by hand. She is most content somewhere between the kitchen, garden and dining table with friends.
