PRAISE FOR DAYTIMEPOET
“Richard Carey’s DAYTIMEPOET is a meditation on perception at the edge of consciousness. The poet sees a strange / ambiguity in the revolving door between day and night and he goes out to hear this / new world dripping –. These poems investigate time and its interstices — tiny passages only available to the most attentive among us. And Carey, with a hyperaware sensibility, pays attention. He is the maestro: Nothing exists / until I say it does – and as a reader, I buy that. On the pages of DAYTIMEPOET, Carey brings life’s shimmering moments into existence.”
— Cynthia Bargar, author of Sleeping in the Dead Girl’s Room
