Don't miss this unique concert showcase of songs inspired by those who served and sacrificed for our freedom
Acclaimed singer-songwriter Ric Ross, known for his moving November 11 cenotaph ceremony performances throughout Simcoe County, presents this powerful live showcase of original songs.
REFLECTIONS was first inspired by family stories about Ric's great uncle Arthur Bell who was a young Barrie school principal when he volunteered to serve. His body of work grew quickly to over 20 songs: "Ring the Bells for Bell was about Uncle Arthur who was killed in WW1. A second song asking the question, Who Were They? came shortly after."
Three songs have been recorded for release this season in tandem with live showcases in Barrie, Alliston, and Midland in prime performance spaces. An album of 12 songs is scheduled for Canada-wide release in 2027 supported by Legion branches across the country: "We will perform all 12 songs from the album and a handful of others people are asking for.”
These poignant songs come to life in concert with the support a stellar ensemble featuring Ian Ross, Joe Huron, Amanda MacLeod, Steven K. Henry, Stephen McNie and special guest, Samantha Windover.
