About this Event

RIBA Baby at The London Archives: London Through Time

Friday 25th September 2026, 10.30am-12 midday.

For ages 0-3 years.

Free, please register.

Activities will take place in The Huntley Room at The London Archives.

Explore the architecture of Medieval London through musical storytelling, singing and creative play in this engaging RIBA Baby session for babies and their carers. Led by musician and educator Paul Rubenstein, this interactive event combines live music, imaginative play and learning to introduce little ones to the world of architecture in a fun and accessible way.

Designed specifically for babies, the relaxed session responds to The London Archives current Medieval London display. Taking inspiration from fourteenth and fifteenth century paintings and texts from the archive, the session will travel through time, taking us on adventures through the streets of London in times long ago. Using songs, sounds and audience participation to build an image of a medieval city, we'll meet characters along the way, including a raven from the Tower of London and Dick Wittington’s Cat.

Enjoy stories and nursery rhymes inspired by history as well as fun musical games that will encourage movement, creativity and curiosity. Whether you are a regular attendee or joining for the first time, come along for a morning of singing, playing, socialising and spend quality time with your little one in an inviting and engaging environment.
