Rhythm & Reads w/Detroit YMCA: Afro Contemporary Dance! Experience Afro-Contemporary, a dance style that is a culmination of extensive knowledge, technique, and Afro-Caribbean background. Designed for all levels and backgrounds looking to add something new to their repertoire, this class introduces Afrobeat, Coupe Decale, Soca, Reggae, Samba, and more while applying familiar terminology and technique from ballet and contemporary. Program will take place at the main branch on our first open Sunday of the 2026 season, in the Galleria room from 3:30-5:00pm! Registration opens here on Sunday, September 20th!
