About this Event
Led by the Massachusetts Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS), the Massachusetts Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) focuses on three goals:
- Expand access to essential healthcare services for rural residents.
- Improve health and well-being through targeted initiatives and partnerships.
- Strengthen systems, policies, and investments to meet the unique needs of rural communities.
At this session, the Massachusetts eHealth Institute (MeHI) and the MassCyberCenter will provide an overview of three newly-launched programs developed in alignment with the goals of the Massachusetts RHTP. The programs are designed to improve technology infrastructure for health care providers and patients in designated rural areas of the state:
- Rural Digital Health Sandbox Program
- Rural Health Cybersecurity Grant Program
- Rural SHINE-HT Program
The event will also include a breakout session to provide an opportunity for participants to share feedback that will inform the development of MeHI's Rural Health Information Exchange (HIE) Program.
