About the programme
In 1936, John Maynard Keynes published The General Theory of Employment, Interest and Money, a book that changed how the world understands unemployment, investment and the role of the state. Ninety years on, its questions remain conspicuously relevant.
Organised in collaboration with Azim Premji University and Indian Heritage Academy, the panel brings together speakers from different institutions and perspectives from the history of economic thought, economic methodology and political economy. The discussion, which welcomes audience questions at the end, is meant for students, teachers and general readers alike.
